How can I even explain their relationship. ultimate partners! Their only issue is he cares too much for her and she cares too much for him. And no one restricts or talks ill or not even a sinful look towards their relationship unlike rest of the cinema or society that day. In all aspects of the film, the director wants to reflect the real as it is but here he wants to set an example how it should be rather how it is! Artists are called creators for reason.
Later part of the film, When she is suffering for 2000, Gopi buys her 1300 saree. And she bursts him out. But then eventually wears it to meet him and we all know one touch is enough.
Buildings tights Sudha’s situation at when her manger openly calls her to resort. cries out in public without telling Gopi. She holds construction and we know what Gopi does. He sells his savings that he had for his sisters’s marriage and now sudha has no to her go but to enjoy thalam.

Supports before and after beginning.

Knowing Engineer and watman are looting Sudha couts. As coutning nears everyone gets pulled towards the scene like magnet making it a dramatic event. And yes it dramatic lead for a bigger decision Sudha is going to make. YES, engineer bashes out in guilt, while sudha crieds her anger out. At when Mangamma comes to rescue, to trust them for rest of the work.

Mangamma, the Savior.
She is a fellow labour who happens to help sudha at difficult situation to construct her house when engineer betrays.

Murugesu Thaatha’s arc.
He is a paatu vaathiyar. We could literally feel how his songs slowly dimish over the course of the film.

Ugly fate.
Antogonist's do not directly harm Sudha but their situation is like that but their situation forces them. Like wise when locals were shut out from Sudha’s land, from their point of view Sudha is an Antogonist who refuses water. Somehow this vicious circle encapsules every one of us.

When everyone mourns his death insilence near his chair., sudha sits near his case opening it to see uyir and money he left . Bursts in pain seeing money and gold.

Just when they arrive at remorse that thaatha saw house and dies satisfied, police car arrives with a shock to inform them that its metro water jurisdiction.
